I have been a member with the Service Credit Union for years now and never had any problems.
Just the opposite, whenever I go to the KMCC branch I only encounter friendly and knowledgeable staff. Even the branch manager took time and helped me directly on several occasions.
For me the SCU is much much better than the community bank and I am a very happy customer and can highly recommend them.

I have gotten GoogleMaps to correct the business hours multiple times in the past 12 months or so.
SCU keeps overriding these corrections! WHY? "Hours updated by owner xx days/weeks ago" is the constant proof!
Plus they have a posted message under their business hours about the "mistake" that GoogleMaps has made. REALLY?
While working in the area, I've seen so many folks appear between 1700 and 1745 only to be disappointed/annoyed/confused.
This just seems like bad business so I'm deducting 2 stars from my original review. I have submitted another adjustment to GoogleMaps
Hopefully this message reaches SCU's higher powers and the madness comes to an end 🙂

I telephoned this morning to ask about setting up a direct debit from my account to German companies. In the past, I have always used International Bill Payment Service. The young man was very polite and extremely helpful. He helped me with two other questions I had. One question was about Service Credit Union Certificates of Deposit, and the other was about obtaining a VPay card. This was excellent customer service.

Use caution with this bank. We financed a car through these guys and paid it off fast, but they lost all the documentation. So currently we have no title or actual proof of ownership and we need it to trade in our vehicle.

Great service. I know to wait at the bank, but every time the bank tellers here don't wanna deal with the line. Be willing to be late for work and wait here an hour no matter if there is 3 ppl in the line or 8. You will wait for at least an hour. Yet the teller always seems to get me through quickly... the more that happenes i will most definitely improve my rating. Like i said a great staff!

I had them out of necessity for almost four years—abysmal rates and unremarkable customer service are their standard operating procedure. They get their money from Community Bank anyway, so just save your time and bank there.

This place functions on the number of souls is successfully crushes each day.
After 2 months of having an account with Service Credit Union I can say that I have had 1 reasonable interaction where my questions and concerns were addressed in a polite, professional, timely, and informative manner.
Other than that initial interaction the staff at this location have been rude, demeaning, and incapable of doing basic banking. To be frank there has been an overarching tone that any member that is not the active duty member is a leech and they engage in no attempts to hide this thought in their treatment of the non-service member.
Wait times are atrocious, when setting up a new account staff are inconsistent in providing all needed information, when attempting to clarify past miscommunications staff are rude, demeaning and incompetent which then only adds to the increased wait time.
Overarchingly I would rather walk in wet socks than have to go in to this branch.

SCU Members Beware!!!
The SCU will not hesitate to shut down your account and turn your money over to a German collector who files against you without Due Process. A collection notice was sent to three of my financial institutions and the SCU is the only one that shut down my account and turned my money over. Even after the Base Staff Judge Advocate said the collection had no merit. My other two Financial institution agreed and took no action. The SCU is not here to serve you as a member.
I have been a member of the SCU for over 30 years and during this process I felt like the SCU did not represent ME as a member but instead left me feeling like it was the German Government I was talking to and I had no right's to fight this action. And to think this is an American Financial Institution!?!
For those who decide to stay/go with the SCU...Good Luck!!!
